Ginger and Maribeth open our Fearless series by uncovering the meaning of fear itself, how to observe it, and a way to keep breathing even while afraid.

Show Notes

Definition of fear: unpleasant and often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. Fear is just an emotion!

  • The beginning of fear was the minute Adam and Eve realized they were separated from God.

Practices to overcome fear:

Do not be afraid – the Bible repeats this all throughout scripture!

Conscious surrender – make an intentional choice to remind yourself all will be well

Yahweh meditation – inhale on the “Yah” and exhale on the “Weh”

Lord’s Prayer – say it when flying at take off and at landing

You are the faucet, God is the water – allow God to lead and take over

Name it – naming it allows you to stand back and observe your fear; diminishes the power of fear
